In addition the Palm has an in-built reverse function for operating either a summer cooling effect or to enable warm air trapped at ceiling level in winter to be re-circulated, eliminating cold spots and draughts.

Based on a room with a standard 8ft 2in (2.5m) ceiling height a fan this size will usually cover a 20ft x 14ft area (6.10m x 4.27m). Do take into consideration whether the room is likely to get hotter than average, for example a south facing room or conservatory.

In this case two 42in fans may be more appropriate. For rooms with higher ceilings a 22mm drop rod should be used to lower the fan down to 8ft 2in (2.5m) above the floor.
